Job Description: Insurance Verification
Busy psychiatry office in Springville, UT area has an immediate need for a team member to verify insurance eligibility. This is a part time position.
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Verify insurance and obtain insurance approvals.
Secondary duties include but are not limited to:
Data entry of all patient demographic, guarantor and insurance information.
Data entry of insurance benefits including, co pay/co insurance, deductible, out of pockets limits and mental health plan limitations.
File, scan, and upload documents.
Detailed Work Activities
Perform additional duties as requested by Supervisory or Management team.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a medical office and insurance verification knowledge required.
Computer experience is essential, including, but not limited to: word processing and spreadsheet applications, with a minimum of 40 wpm typing speed and 10-key by touch.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Neat appearance; pleasant speaking voice and demeanor; positive attitude.
Responsible use of confidential information.
Perform to company standards of compliance with policies and procedures.
Ability to multi-task and work courteously and respectfully with fellow employees, clients and patients
Additional Requirements:
Drug free company and a criminal background check is required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
