6K a year 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago ABOUT THE JOB The Logistics Manager will perform a variety of first-line supervisory and technical duties as needed to expedite the timely delivery of oversees shipments and the receipt of inbound materials.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Oversee daily operational activities related to logistics, including international and domestic shipments; oversee the methods for tracking various import and export orders shipped and ordered; establish processes for verifying accuracy of billing notices; verify shipping weights and compares items received with items ordered; assure quoted rates are charged.
Participate in general planning; contributes to the MRP processes; identify pertinent information and delivers timely reports to various executive staff of shipping status as requested.
Coordinate international bulk order shipping; receives invoices for various countries; prepares and completes Shippers Letter of Instructions (SLI's) providing details related to items being shipped, destinations, storage, etc.

Identify customs information including product identification, description, volumes and weights; follows up on issues or problems related to customs; performs various calculations as needed to identify volumes, weights and related detail.
? Issue proper documentation of shipping documents to shippers and receiving countries as needed to enable effective tracking and tracing; assesses proper schedule B numbers based upon customs guidelines for identifying products for large shipments ($2500 or greater).
Direct and perform on-going auditing of freight billings and related charges; assure Modere's executive management that logistics costs are controlled in an efficient and effective manner; conduct research, track and trace shipments that do not arrive as scheduled.
Coordinate with purchasing division for the receiving of domestic inbound deliveries; receive copies of invoices; contact shipper or vendor as needed to make arrangements for deliveries or schedule pickup.
Coordinate with various Modere departments to receive or send FedEx and UPS parcels; provide personal attention to assure timely shipping or receiving of emergency or specialty shipments.
Coordinate with Modere's facilities in New Zealand and arranges for raw materials shipments; tracks shipments in process as needed to keep apprised of shipment status and report the same.
Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE Graduation from high school plus one (1) year of specialized training in logistics, MRP, shipping, freight management or a related field provided through professional workshops, seminars, etc.
Three (3) years of progressively accountable work experience performing above or related duties.
Working knowledge of various aspects of a distribution system, including shipping and logistics; materials resource planning (MRP) methods and objectives.
Some knowledge of budget development and fiscal accounting principles, practices and procedures; principles of supervision, including evaluation and motivation; training methods; basic computer operation; issues and problems common to the freight and shipping industry; general office practices and procedures related to complex file and record keeping; various shipping methods and procedures; basic procedures for tracking shipments and materials; telephone etiquette.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; make basic informed-choices where established procedures do not always apply; perform intricate mathematical computations; operate personal computer and apply various program applications related to word processing, spread sheets and database management; develop effective working relationships with executives, managers, and fellow team members.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
