82 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago Under the supervision of the Greens Superintendent, performs duties necessary for the maintenance of the Golf Course, such as mowing greens and fairways, watering course, maintaining sprinkling system, preparing course for winter, fertilizing course, maintaining and servicing equipment, and performing necessary work to keep the Course in top playing condition, trimming trees.
Preference for candidates with a strong mechanical background.
Operates a variety of equipment such as fairway mowers, greens mowers, utility vehicles, aerator, etc.
- Performs physically demanding work with moderate lifting of up to 50 lbs.
on a regular basis.
- Installs and repairs automatic sprinkling system.
- Applies fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, as needed.
- Waters and irrigates greens.
- Assists in the maintenance of all equipment used at the Course, including preventive maintenance work.
- Assists in the supervision and training of seasonal employees.
All other duties as assigned.
Must be a high school graduate.
Must have previous experience in golf course maintenance or equivalent education and experience.
Must be certified in the use, application and care of chemicals associated with lawn care.
Must have a valid Utah Drivers License KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must have ability to operate equipment such as turf mowers, greens aerator, tractor, chemical sprayers, etc.
Must have knowledge of turf care.
Must have ability to work well as a team member.
Must have knowledge of sprinkling systems and their maintenance.
Must be skilled in trimming trees and be skilled in application of fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides, pesticides and other chemicals.
Must be skilled in auto mechanics and small engine repair.
Must work well with the public.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
